Hitachi Construction Machinery announced in October 2025 that its new boom and arm, specially designed for mining excavators, will be applied as standard equipment to the EX5600-7 backhoe excavator starting from March 2025, with gradual expansion to other machine models. These components have undergone practical working condition tests at the Brockman 4 Iron Ore Mine of Rio Tinto Group in Australia, and their durability has been significantly improved, which is expected to reduce users' maintenance costs. In addition, Hitachi Construction Machinery also plans to change its company name to "Land Cross" to strengthen its global brand image in the construction machinery field.
