Its function: It is the core component of the excavator's overall travel system, primarily providing the power for movement, enabling forward, backward, and turning actions. It integrates the travel motor, travel gearbox (reducer), and other structures, reducing speed and amplifying torque to drive the tracks, while simultaneously bearing the weight of the machine and ground impacts, ensuring smooth movement and stable climbing, improving mobility and operational stability in complex working conditions.

Troubleshooting: When the travel assembly (Final Drive/Travel Motor) experiences weakness, abnormal noise, or oil leaks, disassembly is difficult due to its location at the very end of the chassis, harsh environment, and complex stress. Before deciding on complete disassembly, it is recommended to check in the following order from the outside in.

• Oil level and quality: Unscrew the inspection bolt. If the oil contains a large amount of metal shavings or is silvery-gray, it indicates that the internal planetary gears or bearings are severely worn.
• Oil Leakage Inspection: Inspect the inside of the drive sprocket. Severe oil stains usually indicate a failed floating seal, which can cause gear oil to leak out completely, leading to gear burnout due to dry grinding.
• Oil Cross-Contamination Inspection: If the excavator veers to one side, and the motor has been ruled out as the cause, it's usually due to aging of the seals inside the center slewing joint, causing high-pressure oil to cross-contaminate at the center of rotation.
